I have been a practicing dental hygienist in Tucson, Arizona since 1995. After attending Arizona State University, I received my Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College. The field of dental hygiene is rapidly evolving. To keep current and continue advancing my clinical skills, I attend numerous continuing education courses in all fields of dentistry as well as read professional publications. I am also a member of the Arizona Dental Association. Most recently, I have become State Certified in Soft Tissue Laser Therapy. Since 1996, I had worked in the same dental practice. For the past 20 years I have worked in the same dental practice. As of January 2017, I transitioned to Dr. Bell’s practice. Here, I have been afforded the opportunity to treat our patients with the tools and technology of dental hygiene above the standard of care. I am pleased to continue working with all my long-term patients and look forward to establishing new ones. I enjoy treating and maintaining my patient’s periodontal health and smiles at this practice. I am married and have two amazing children. My wife is a practicing dental hygienist as well. Outside of work, I enjoy family, exercise, sports (especially U o A), and numerous outdoor activities.
UPDATE: Retired as of 5/2020
Dear Patients and Friends,
It is with sadness that I announce my retirement from the dental hygiene practice at Drs. Spaeth, Bell, and Hornsby’s office. I feel that with the advent and uncertainty of Covid 19, it would be prudent for my health to retire at this time.
It is difficult to leave all my dear patients and friends. I will miss you. Having been a part of this practice for 20 years, it feels like leaving my family. You will be remembered. This office has always been a very special place, and will continue to be one.
I plan on pursuing some creative ventures I’ve wanted to do, but never had the time. Gardening and learning to silversmith are high on my list, as well as traveling (when we can) to San Francisco to visit my son and daughter-in-law and my granddog and grandcats.
Please keep on Waterpiking. I left some TePe brushes and information on ordering them. I have enjoyed being your hygienist and working with you. Be safe and stay well.
