AFC Urgent Care Stoneham

Made an appointment to hopefully find cause for weeks of nausea, headache, dizziness, and fatigue. Intake person asked me no less than 3 times how long I’ve had symptoms. Never took my temp and pretty much insisted on covid, strep, and flu tests when i KNEW I had none of the above. All negative. They then did a glucose reading (had to ask for a bandaid 👀), a very awkward EKG, eye test (?) and monitored BP between positions. I asked them to check lymph nodes as was concerned as I had breast cancer. Still never addressed nausea cause or headache. NP ‘concluded’ it basically could be anything and offered nothing to help with said. Told me to sit up slowly because my BP did drop (no reason why given) and said to see my primary and hoped I feel better. Bottom line - unless you are sure you have strep or the flu or something that can be easily diagnosed and treated with an antibiotic, go to your own doctor and save 2 hours and who knows how much money.

I went in to get checked for covid/strep. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and courteous. The doctor who saw me (I believe I remember her name was something similar to Dr. Oreo) was very kind and sympathetic. She quickly prescribed me some steroids and a numbing agent for my pain. The whole experience was pleasant and should I need to return to urgent care, I will do so at this exact office if possible.

Very helpful! Went in for a minor concern and was seen very quickly. The physician that saw me explained to me everything I needed to know and answered my questions! She explained it in a way where it was clear and easy for me to understand and also seem to care about my concerns. Great place.

Upon entering urgent care, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff. I was taken to a medical room within five minutes of arrival. I was seen by a NP within a few minutes. X-rays and Covid test done all within 15 minutes. Professional, friendly and courteous staff.

After being dismissed by my PCP, the staff at Urgent Care Stoneham were polite, professional, and took my concerns seriously. The place was clean, the wait was short, and they made me feel heard and validated as they got me the medication I needed. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. They say theyre open until 8pm, and I try my best to not make things last minute. Which in my case isnt always the easiest being a widowed single mother of three girls. I made it here by 7:42pm and they refused my service because they were busy out back. They literally had 2 cars in their lot and no one waiting in the waiting area. They should be ashamed. Supposedly here to make your life easier, thats a joke.

Not one to go to the doctors if I can avoid them. Hurt my back this morning and went here. Very friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in and even when I was leaving. Great staff. Thank you for everything.

My only problem was I was sent there from VA consulting nurse for mission care act and then when I went to CVS the med was not covered due to the NP was not in the VA system so I had to pay out of pocket. Why would you not be on the system??? Very disturbing. Care was great but systems in place for veterans sucked….

Young woman at check in helped me immediately . The MD listened carefully and had already seen quick lab result . Perscription ordered and sent to pharmacy . Everything was efficient and professional. Would highly recommend Urgent Care Stoneham. Wonderful and timely care , with kindly staff

I was able to book an appointment easily online for the same day. Check in was easy, the staff are very friendly as well. If you’ve been to one before they have some of your information on file which makes it easier for checking in and booking.

It was very easy to make an appointment and many time slots were available. I showed up and didnt have to wait more than 10 minutes. The staff was kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable, and the doctor was very reasurring and took the time to explain what was going on. I highly recommend going to this location if you are in the area and need urgent care.

Very pleased with how quick I was able to be seen by Dr Orio. Test included an x-ray and Lab tech Kathryn explained what she would need to do and assisted me into position. Overall happy I made decision to go to urgent care would also like to recognize the receptionist as she answered my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed.

My overall experience at this urgent care was fine. However, following the appointment I called their patient services regarding a bill I received and had a very unpleasant experience. The billing specialist, Megan Sorenson, was very unprofessional in how she spoke to me regarding this issue. Due to her lack of empathy for a paying customer and unprofessional customer service skills, I will no longer receive any care from this company.

Had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care Stoneham. The reception team was so helpful and kind. The practitioners were also lovely.

I was sent home from work this was the closest urgent care to me. Treated me like a local was able to walk in and was seen in and out within 30min. They sent the prescription to my local pharmacy. Received a follow call 2 days later said I wasn’t feel better. Kiana, was amazing she took notes of my side effects and I received an over the phone appointment with the DR. That I saw and they sent a new prescription within 10min. Awesome people couldn’t be happier!

Told me to take an over the counter medication. Thank god I looked at the ingredients listed before taking it bc I’m allergic to it. In the appointment I told them my allergies so they knew. I had testing done, they called and told me I was negative for everything. Then the health department called to file a report bc the lab flagged my results were actually positive for a parasite! Had to call them to get medicine, they apologized for the mistake. Also, the facility itself seemed not properly cleaned and the staff seemed young, inexperienced, and not caring. They swabbed my nose for covid and flu and they just put it in each nostril for like 2 seconds… it barely touched my nose. This has been the worst medical center I’ve ever been to.

I was very happy with the care I received at AFC. I was in and out quickly because they have a very efficient process. The PA took his time to explain his recommendations thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They even offered me a popsicle to soothe my sore throat! 10/10!!!!

The best urgent care is in Stoneham. Easy to schedule appointment on line. Was seen on time. The nurses are always empathetic, kind upon entering and taking vitals was quick and easy. The Dr is professional yet personable. I enjoy when their bed side manner is done with sincere respect and care to diagnosis. I always turn to AFC over my primary care for immediate medical treatment that doesn’t require the ER. I was even impressed with all the guidelines they had in place through Covid. Top notch advice is given. I appreciate when they follow up and it’s seamless to have any prescriptions filled. I have nothing but high regards for the staff and convenient location.

I had a very short check in as a repeat patient (very efficient young man at the front desk). The PA Johanna was quick to diagnose my condition and explained the med she prescribed.

This was my second experience and it was excellent. I am very happy to have easy access to Stoneham Urgent Care. I am traveling overseas on Tuesday and was worried about the long flight. The professional staff was able to help me. I am grateful for their help and recommendations

The staff of AFC were knowledgeable and caring. I was able to get care quickly for what I came for and they identified and treated a secondary issue. It’s good to have labs and xray all in one place.

I feel your staff are great an pleasant but my Doctor today at first wasnt pleasant. I say that being in the médical field an being told she didnt give à z pack for bronchites but about 15 min after I was discharged I get a phone call with à order for a z pack an amoxicilin. So I understand we get plenty of fréquemment flyers but listen to people that know what there talking about. Especially like having Bronchites à patient can take amoxicilin. I dont know why she thought I did an didnt know what one can take. I know Im à doctors worse patient when knowing what is needed. Im sorry but it bothered me.

This is the best Urgent Care facility in the area. I have been there several times for various reasons. They’re always helpful, welcoming, professional and I get the care that I need for whatever issue I’m dealing with. Highly recommended.

It was my very first time at this urgent care and really loved the experience. I had no appointment and was seen within 30 minutes. Dr saw me, meds were sent for a sore throat and out I was. Very quick and efficient.

First time in. Very happy, total time spent was under 40 minutes, my hand was examined and I received two prescriptions. Also the place is impeccably clean. 💯

I just moved to Stoneham and was extremely tired from a traumatic experience with my car in NYS.I decided to go to Urgent Care in Stoneham. I never had such a wonderful experience with their administrative staff, including Kelsie, the outstanding and concerned PT with her attending interns. I was properly and thoroughly diagnosed and received the best treatment, for a “new patient” in town:)I had to go back today for a well check. I walked in and out in less than an hour!Lulu and her PA we’re kind and thorough and made great suggestions for me to feel better:)I’m so glad this Urgent Care Clinic is in Stoneham.

Just had a blockage in my ear and they could not have been nicer!! They got it out and were very professional about the whole process. My family and I have always had a good experience at that urgent care.

This place is the best. I was not feeling great and decided to go see what was happening with my health. I was able to easily get an appointment on line. They attended to me right away. They were very kind, efficient and all the good things expected from a place like this. I thought maybe it was allergies or a cold, they got it right immediately and I received the medication I needed and was able to sleep soundly last night. Thanks a lot may the Lord bless you

Positive experience with staff. Only suggestion is to have front desk register people. No one who is sick wants to copy their insurance cards which is not that simple.

I had a good experience. The individuals who took care of me were wonderful. Only negative I have is it was a long wait but I had an exam room to myself so I relaxed and watched TV 😌

I brought my daughter in, I was afraid to put her down anywhere as the floor was filthy everywhere from the waiting room, hallways, restrooms and exam rooms. In the exam room for instance there was a blood looking spot on the floor about the size of a shoe with other blood looking drops in the room. Also caps from some kind of medical supplies and trash all over the floor. Pictures do not even do justice to the level of filthy it was, but I have attached some.

Amazing experience! Went on a Sunday afternoon. Very efficient, helpful and professional and timely. Can’t say enough good things about my experience.

Went there on June 16 my son was short of breath chest cold etc PA Nguyen said it’s 99% not bronchitis and no ashtmaToday took him to his PCP this morning definitely bronchitis!!! Bottom line if you want to see a PA or nurse for anything simple it’s fine otherwise go see a real doctor!

I had booked the appointment the day before , but unfortunately it was an hour and a half wait today , but understandable with walk ins and seeing that it was New Years Eve. I did like that once I had checked in , the staff allowed me to wait in my car and they called me when they were ready to see me , rather than waiting in the waiting room which was quite busy.The staff were very kind and apologetic about the wait and the medical staff that I saw were very attentive and took great care of me and I left feeling very satisfied with the care I had had there, with the staff recommending a follow-up also with my primary care physician later in the week following this appointment

I went on a sat afternoon in January and barely had to wait to be seen by a doctor. I needed a strep test after my son tested positive for strep. Took no more than one hour total. Check in was seamless and this was my first time ever at AFC. The facility was very clean and offered complimentary coffee and water and had a space for kids with little chairs and tablets to play with. All the staff were very courteous and friendly. Overall best urgent care experience compared to all other hospitals and I worked for MGB. Definitely recommend. Thank you!!!

You get good help depending on the mood of the doctor. I had an awesome amazing doctor the first time I went (1/1/24) and Dr. Bryant was very helpful and wonderful. Idk who I saw this time but they were largely unhelpful and rude even though I had an appointment they wouldnt let me say more than one or two sentences which triggered a panic attack. I understand they have to do things a certain way but according to my doctor if antibiotics dont work the first round a second dose is needed to finish clearing the infection. I dont go anywhere I have agoraphobia so Im unsure where I would have picked up this second separate illness. I wish they addressed my worries instead of making them worse and making me feel unheard. The front desk staff is also wonderful. Mixed feelings on this location. I wish all the doctors were trained to have a good bedside manner especially since they read a patients chart before entering the room..

Slowest urgent care around. Doctors are definitely new and don’t know what they’re talking about and very very unsterilized. Don’t even feel comfortable here… there soap in the bathroom is even mixed with water something seems very fishy here…

I tried to book an appointment on line but there were none left. I went to the office and was told it was a 1 1/2 hour wait. I was seen within an hour by a PA who was very nice and knowledge. The office staff was friendly and polite and was the admitting nurse. Recommend them!

I was treated with respect throughout my entire visit. I have chronic pain and recurring injuries. I do not present normally and ERs dismiss me. I ended up having a broken bone but did not sit there crying and Im sure it would have been the same experience - wait until everyone who isnt familiar with daily pain is treated and then get to my. They were not quick to assume or judge. The environment was clean, everyone was friendly, I couldnt have asked for a better broken bone situation. ;) The Dr. even cared about what was happening to me when I stepped outside and it started to downpour. He was so kind on a human level. Thank you.Update: I dont think I would have gone to the Dr to check out my elbow injury if it werent for this Uregent Care but was so thankful for the treatment I received last time that I went again today. I was able to feel relived that I didnt break my bone and still continued to get care and wasnt just kicked out and dismissed. I got an x-ray, treatment advice about how to follow up with my injury. The addition of this service ithe neighborhood has enhanced my quality of life and ability to trust doctors that I dont know. The doctor I saw today didnt judge my for not crying and still being in excruciating pain. Thanks!!

The urgent care worker was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate throughout my entire visit. No urgent and definitely no care was received when I went there on Sunday for sever painNot professional and empathetic and not kind assistant in this location, basically did NOT provide anything and said they can refer me to ERNever go there again.

I was extremely impressed with the level of care and professionalism . I called in the morning and I was able to go right away and was seen very shortly after I arrived. Beats spending hours in the ER. Both staff and the Doctor were excellent.

The worse place EVER if you traveling and need your PCR test just look somewhere else. Either they will lose it and the lab won’t receive it or they will just tell you to cal the lab and they won’t do anything to help you AND I’m not the only person, just look elsewhere. No one answers the phone and the staff is SO RUDE!!

Due to an unfortunate incident at home, I arrived at 8 AM without an appointment. I was taking in very soon after and when an emergency came in which held up my treatment, I was provided with delicious snacks and juice with a lovely note.Each visit there over the years I have been met with the highest level of professionalism, knowledgeable care, empathy and kindness. I highly recommend AFC urgent care Stoneham.

The best urgent care treatment I have ever received. I was in and out very quickly. Ashley, who was the medical assistant, took me to my room and was very kind to me. She took my vitals and made me feel very comfortable. Erin who was the provider who saw me treated and assessed me very well. I was able to get a prescription and I am feeling so much better. I love AFC! Will forever recommend

Not much of a wait, which was great. But signing in on my phone was a pain. Even worse was trying to access my records online after. The link they sent wouldnt let me sign in with the password at all and creating a patient portal was worthless, too. Doctor and nurses were nice, but I need written directions because I get mixed up. That one thing I needed I didnt get. So who knows if Im doing the right things. UPDATE: The team worked with me by phone to make sure my summary got sent to me by email. And a couple days later they called to check in on me to see if I was feeling better. Who does that?? Well, they do! So, while the computer system needs work, the people are super.

I went here a few weeks ago because I couldn’t get a soon enough appointment & I was feeling super sick. Their care is excellent & Bianca the MA made my experience even better. She was super kind & made sure I was comfortable even though I often have anxiety during a medical appointment. I would definitely recommend this Urgent care location!

I don’t even write reviews, but last Thursday was the best experience I’ve ever had at a medical facility period, never mind Urgent Care. I wish I could be seen for my primary care here! First of all, the super friendly bearded guy at the front desk (Ryan? Bryan?) absolutely cracked me up. He made sure I was checked in. Everything there just ran super smoothly. The medical staff was just so incredibly attentive and accommodating. I have terrible anxiety when going to seek medical care, and they really put me at ease. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been to AFC Stoneham location a few times for various illnesses in the last 4 years that I’ve lived in the area and I’ve had a great experience with various providers there! My most recent experience was so so excellent that I feel I have to include all the details to express how wonderful my experience was with the medical staff at this facility! Most recently, I visited because I seriously injured my ankle/leg during a trip abroad and with only a few days left on the trip, I decided I would go for an x-ray as soon as I arrived back in the US. I tried various ortho drs in the area and although I understand it was the week of Thanksgiving (albeit only Monday,) none of the practices advertising “same day x-rays” could get me in for one for over a week. As I felt this was more urgent and I was hoping to avoid the ER wait, I verified that AFC Stoneham had a radiologist (I believe some AFCs do and others don’t—the schedule may change so I recommend calling beforehand!)I was brought right in as is my usual experience there. The NP Jillian was extremely gentle in her physical examination of my swollen and painful ankle and promptly ordered the x-ray. I wish I knew the x-ray tech’s name because she was just as lovely and was very cautious in helping me position my leg where the x-ray required it to be, without causing me discomfort in the process. Jillian did a preliminary read of the x-ray and informed me she saw a fracture. She explained the radiologist would read it and I would receive a call in if there was any difference in the read and I could access my record online as well. (The radiologist’s read turned out to be the same as the NPs.) She suggested I follow up with ortho and I expressed my difficulty in getting an appointment, so the medical assistant called for me and got me in the following day with their preferred ortho practice in Stoneham (where I also had a great experience!) She also fitted me for a “walking boot,” which gave me much more support and significantly lessened my pain, instructed me on putting it on, and fitted me for crutches. (I had been using “European” crutches from the pharmacy on our trip.) Jillian (NP) answered all my questions including about likelihood of surgery, etc. Even when she explained that I would get a more definite answer to some specific questions from the specialist, I noticed that the ortho Dr. verified the same info she had told me the following day when I saw him, (so Jillian was very very knowledgeable!)The whole experience was excellent! We weren’t even kept waiting between seeing each of the medical staff, they just rotated in and out and got everything I needed completed timely.. My husband who was with me at the time kept repeating how he couldn’t believe anyone would sit in the ER for a x-ray when we were getting the care we received and with no wait! He and I agreed everyone on the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, all our questions answered, and that we were in and out promptly. I would not hesitate to return to AFC in Stoneham, ESPECIALLY after this most recent experience with their competent and compassionate staff.

Everybody in there was super nice, super efficient and right on top of everything. I highly recommend them.

I was given an opportunity to schedule an appointment the following day when I called, also, I could have a walk-in to the clinic night of my call I chosen to to schedule! I signed and was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment! My treatment was very pleasant by all who attended me! Setting up an appointment was super easy online. The wait was non-existent upon arrival and when called into a room for my appointment, the timing of a nurse then doctor coming in to see me was quicker than expected. The nurse was kind and the doctor was caring and knowledgeable. Great establishment.

Went in with a cough and my daughter had to be seen as well. Front desk couldn’t have been nicer. Had to get a chest X-ray was happy they had one there Dr treated me and my daughter really well very kind and the NA was really great too going somewhere you have never been and not waiting long I had a great first time experiences. I definitely recommend this place.

I came in with symptoms that could have been Covid, Bronchitis, or just the worst chest cold ever. I felt miserable. I was seen by Jessica and a young woman who checked me in whose name I don’t remember. They were both wonderful to me. Jessica prescribed an antibiotic that I will start tonight and I left feeling that somebody was trying to take care of me. I really like this urgent care!

My last two visits have been fairly quick and the doctor I had was lovely those were 5 star. one with myself and one with my child. I must mention though previously I was being seen for another issue a few months back and my wife was waiting outside. She has a medical condition that was fairly new at the time and essentially passed out in the parking lot and needed medical attention. When the firefighters arrived they asked if the doctor who was outside could look at her and the doctor REFUSED saying she wasn’t a patient and couldn’t help her. Wouldn’t even check her blood pressure. Meanwhile my wife was laying on the ground in need of medical attention. I’d say out of everything that stuck out the most to me. Never imagined seeing a doctor refuse a patient because they were not “checked in” since she has medical insurance which was very valid at the time anyways.

Having an appointment got me to the back quick! Staff is so kind! Just had a good wait once I was in a room (I know it’s busy, just stinks when you only need a few mins with the doc)! Thank you all!!

Ive been here twice in 2022 and both times Ive been impressed. The facility seems newish and clean. The staff have ALL been friendly to me - every single person Ive interacted with. The online registration process is fairly easy and its nice not to have to do any paperwork or answer any questions once you arrive. My wait times have been reasonable so far, only about 10 minutes. I dont dread going to urgent care now that Ive found this place.

Came in today and everything was great from the front desk to my favorite the medical assistant Jen! You can tell she loves her job and patients! Thanks for making me feel welcome and for taking such great care of me! Will be back and will recommend to all my friends and family!

You don’t want to have to go to an urgent care but life happens. Glad I went to AFC, great experience all around!I needed stitches on my foot and had gone to another urgent care closer to me. They were extremely unpleasant and on an almost two hour wait. I called AFC and spoke to someone at the actual location who could let me know how busy they were. She was extremely friendly and help. Once I arrived, I was quickly checked in and waited 15-20 minutes to be seen. The providers were wonderful and did a great job stitching me up.Highly recommend AFC for any of your urgent care needs.

The store manager (Tania), is very unprofessional rude when it comes to requesting additional information from them. On Jan 27th, 2024, my son tested positive for Influenza B and was prescribed Tamiflu. For some reason, their physician prescribed double the dosage as allowed by the insurance company, so the insurance company refused to cover it unless the a pre-authorization form for the doctor is provided. When I reached out to the store, they first claimed that they didnt know what form I am referring to. After I finally got them the form, the store manager, Tania, said they simply dont provide the authorization form according to their policy and then hang up on me.

I recently had a medical emergency and AFC Urgent Care Stoneham was there for me. I found myself having horrible headaches and loss of vision in my R eye. The Team at AFC Urgent Care Stoneham recognized the seriousness of this and sprang into action. It was impressive to see their Team, From the Medical Receptionists getting me cleared w/o an appointment in seconds to the Nurse assistants, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners jumping into action all for my well being was outstanding. Vital signs, ekg, eye exams and much more I knew I was in good hands. Thanks to them I was sent out in an ambulance to the hospital and was diagnosed with a defect in my inner carotid artery aka dissection. Part of my artery had sheared off and was flapping in my blood stream restricting blood flow to my brain causing my intense headaches and visual disturbances. I was told I was very lucky but I know AFC Urgent Care Stoneham played a huge part in all of this. Their quick response got me the help I needed. My symptoms have resolved now, thankfully w/o any cognitive deficits . I will always be grateful for everything AFC Urgent Care Stoneham did for me that sunny, quiet late morning day. 👍❤️💯

What is the point of an appointment?!Update: I was finally seen at 4:03...I make an appointment because I have things going on and have to live by a schedule. Do I get a discount because I waited an hour and a half? p Why is your time more valuable than mine?

AFC urgent care in Stoneham was amazing. I had an appointment scheduled and was taken right on time. They were extremely helpful and were so professional yet down to earth. They listened to all my complaints and addressed each and every one. I highly recommend!

Ms. Sumaiya is really a very conscientious and considerate doctor. She’s very patient with us. And she always spoke to us with a warm smile on her face. She’s a very warm person. And she help us completed our complicated documents that is so complicated for myself. They tried charging me 300 dollars for a Covid test. I had no symptoms or was feeling remotely sick. I told them to bill it to my employer they said I would have to pay for it after the test was completed. I told them Im not paying for it. Ironically 2 minutes later I get a phone call saying Im positive. I asked to receive a receipt/picture and didnt get either. I will never step foot in that facility again nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone

I was able to get a same day appointment. All of the medical staff were compassionate and professional and took the time to come up with a comprehensive treatment plan that made the most sense for my symptoms.

This was my first visit to an urgent care facility. Very happy that I got there after the morning rush since I only waited approximately 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner who saw me for my irritated eye was professional and followed medical protocol. I was happy that she used a viewing/exam lense to see if there was a major problem in my eye and for prescribing anti-bacterial eye drops. However, I did not expect too much because eye issues are a specialty. Overall, I was very pleased with the intake and triage steps, and with the medical care and advice provided by Nurse Practitioner Kate.

The staff was extremely nice from the moment you walked in to the time you saw the provider. Things got taken care of in a timely manner. Don’t live here, was visiting, would recommend this facility to the ones who do live here and the ones visiting. Best choice for my medical needs.

Went in to Urgent Care for some knee issues and was glad with my visit. Once I checked in at the front desk, I only waited a few minutes before Ayralis (one of the nurses/physicians) received me and brought me to the check-up room.Covered with a giraffe and monkey paintings all over the walls, it looked like I was seeing a pediatrician. Aryalis then went through all my information, asking all the procedural questions, taking my blood pressure finding out exactly what brought me into the Urgent Care today. She was very professional, made me feel comfortable with everything, making sure the physician knew what they would be dealing with upon my arrival.Once she left, I waiting a couple minutes for the physician to come in. I wont bore anyone with the details but we also had x-rays done and tech made me feel very comfortable. Meeting all the physicians and working with them to figure out what was going on with my knee felt really easy and I would definitely go back to the Urgent Care in Stoneham again!

Really quick wait time (I scheduled beforehand), clean and quiet facility, convenient location and parking, and great nurses. The nurses I had were kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. I will be back here if I need urgent care in the future and I would recommend this location.

Fantastic and quick care. Everyone was kind and empathetic. I was seen quickly, treated, and was able to pick up my new prescription all under an hour! I will definitely head here again!

Once I was called in for my appointment, the staff was professional and thorough. I had clear cold symptoms, they covered all the bases for my symptoms right away and went above and beyond to get some further details. The staff made me feel comfortable and like they knew what they were doing. Despite the fact that the number of patients there seems to out number the staff 4x they were pleasant and not rushed with my care.This urgent care is definitely up on its tech, so download the app and try to make an appointment and fill out all of your info before you get there. I did this and still waited 1.5+ hours over my appointment time. But hey, it’s cold and flu season after all. The staff seemed like a team and we’re definitely doing all they could. Super long wait, but good care. And I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee and water available in the waiting room. Thank you! One major complaint - my pharmacy was not an option on the pre appointment form. I was surprised by this because I use a Walgreens pharmacy. As a result they didn’t have my correct pharmacy on my profile and I had to give them these details.

I’ve been here multiple times and their team is amazing. Their patient volume is high so sometimes they’re busy but if you make an appointment your visit is likely to go much quicker. From the staff at the front desk, to the medical assistants and the providers, everyone treats you with such respect, no judgement or discrimination as to why you’re there. The medical assistants make you feel comfortable and relaxed as if you already know them and the providers are very knowledgeable and quick with their work. They were all welcoming and informative, they even gave me a courtesy call 2 days later to check up on me and see how I was doing post treatment. This is the only urgent care I go to, my experience was great and I highly recommend visiting if you need to be seen immediately.Additionally, I read some of the reviews and I think it’s sickening that people don’t think PAs are capable of giving adequate care. Keep in mind, they wouldn’t be there if they didn’t deserve to be there.They worked hard and went to school +\- 6 years for their license, talk about your experience but don’t insult their intelligence.

Updating Review - Follow up call from the AFC. Got the results and password- through initial text. This place needs better providers and better oversight on e2e client experience.I don’t even want to give 1 star. But had to as google wouldn’t allow posting.Took an appointment on Sunday, still long wait and no proper diagnosis. The attending physician didn’t say anything helpful that I didn’t already know. Prescribed all OTC medicines. Was told will get an email with what medicines to take and test results - but nothing.Called multiple times , was put on hold, they forgot I was on hold! Finally, i Requested the copy of the results and diagnostics. They sent a file that went to spam and was password protected. No information about the password anywhere, of course.Again called multiple times and no one attended the phone.What kind of Urgent Care is this? It’s Wednesday and I still don’t have myDiagnostic and there is no proper post appointment process followed.Never going to this location.

Amazing clinic and staff! Sumaiya was very nice with handling my son and I while we were very sick. I believe her name was Jen, she was super helpful. She even gave my son a popsicle and crackers as he was getting fussy. Could not have asked for a better experience!

As a general rule, I don’t write reviews. But I’m making an exception in this case. The whole team at the AFC in Stoneham is great. I rolled in at 2 minutes until closing on a Friday (I know, I’m a jerk,) but they took us in. That kindness on their part saved us a trip to the ER. These comments are probably long overdue - this is not our first visit. Everyone in the family has been helped by the team there, and we’ve always had a good experience.

Visit to AFC urgent Care Stoneham went pretty much seamlessly. The facility was clean and seemed to be well laid iut. All employees were personable and helpful. Check-in process was straight-forward and efficient. Even with other patients present the wait time to see a physician was reasonably quick. The physician who examined my son provided prompt and clear diagnosis and treatment recommendations. And we were on our way out and on to a pharmacy rather expeditiously. Good, positive experience.

Absolutely, I would recommend AFC Urgent Care Stoneham. I was able to prepare for the online appointment I made by using the screening portal; including document upload feature. I was greeted warmly by the front desk manager. I waited mere minutes then brought in by medical assistant named Chris. He was very pleasant and approachable during pre-check. Nurse Practitioner, Jill, was extremely thorough, asked all the right questions, treated the issue and explained everything during and after. She is a kind soul, and obviously in the right business. The office was very clean and provided tv in room.

My mother went here on Friday with a sinus infection and was told they cannot give her a prescription because they need to wait 5 days for symptoms. Okay fine. It is now Monday, she and I have called about 4 different times asking for a prescription and the only we get is “the doctor is busy right now we’ll fill it later and call you” while I understand that you may be busy you can also take 2 minutes to call in a prescription at pharamcy. Its been over 5 days and she is now able to get a prescription I don’t get why you’re not able to just call one in quickly for her. She is now more sick than she was on Friday when she went in. Hope you guys are happy not calling in a prescription.

Sumaiya is amazing. I have never met someone like her ever. She’s so kind hearted and will go to great lengths to make sure you are all set. I have now set high expectations for any other medical facility and staff after interacting with her! The CEO better do whatever to keep her!

Front desk staff was very friendly as well as the person taking my vitals. The PA was very perfunctory and didnt seem to want to take any extra time for my concerns. I told her Im not allergic to medications, but have had some bad experiences with antibiotics. She asked no questions.I had to ask her what antibiotic she was prescribing and it was one of had a bad experience to.I would recommend that they have someone regularly check the bathroom for cleanliness as well as restocking supplies (ie. Hand sanitizers, gloves), and emptying trash cans. The footstep to the examination bed was disgusting.The online portal still has not been updated with details of my visit. I asked for a work note, was promised it would be emailed by the end of the day, and still have not received it at six pm.They also sent my medications to a CVS and not the Walgreens I requested.I suppose the visit served its purpose for getting a diagnosis, medications, and hopefully a work note, but I would have appreciated better customer care from the PA and a cleanlier environment.Update: I am having side effects of the medications prescribed and havent been able to get a hold of a provider there to advise me. Also, I realized that they gave me a medication yesterday at the office without giving me any information about it except that it is a corticosteroid to help with my laryngitis. I didnt think anything about it because Ive been given Prednisone by an ENT in the past for a similar situation. However, I had to do my own research online to figure out what food to avoid/eat while on it as well as finding out any other information about it. I dont remember if I was even told the name. I had to look it up on my discharge papers that were emailed to me because its not even listed in my online portal. I dont see how this is a legal practice.

Recently visited due to a sore throat—I was in and out within about 45 minutes and the staff is very friendly! Everything went smoothly from beginning to end, including getting the prescription they sent out for me. I’ll definitely come back in the future for quick care!

My wife had an abscess tooth which we all know can be excruciating pain. Celine who works here saved my night because the pharmacy that the scripts went too closed early. We raced back to Urgent Care and even though they were shutting the lights off and closing, Celine asked me what happened and she was able to submit the scripts to a pharmacy that was open. She even pulled them up and called to make sure they were open and would be in time for us to get there and get the scripts. Celine we couldn’t be MORE thankful for your kind generous jester to go above and beyond to help us out and save us a night in the ER. You deserve to be recognized for this heroic act. Thank you to you and all the staff for helping us.

My provider was excellent — she apologized for the wait, listened to my symptoms and history, reviewed my COVID and strep test results, and clearly presented treatment options.Leaving 4 stars out of 5 due to the waiting time, but otherwise very satisfied with my visit and will return for future urgent care needs.

My doctor( Tom P Workman) was gentle and spoke in a steady tone. He was careful and thoughtful to attending me and my wound. I also want to mention the nurse that I believe was attending me too. I cannot remember her name, but she made sure I got some food and was there for everything I asked. Thank you!

This is one of the best urgent care facilities I have been to so far. Thank you to the nicest young lady ever, Ayralis. Ayralis is always very professional and kind. I truly feel like I am being treated with care and that makes me feel comfortable every time. My needs were definitely met this past visit and I could not have asked for a better outcome. Took a friend here with abdominal side pain. Was seen very quickly, got an x-ray and a diagnosis much quicker than I would have if we went to the ER plus they took her insurance.Front desk and Doctors are very knowledgeable and have a friendly attitude.

The sign-in process was terrible. After about 15 minutes of trying to sign-in on my phone I gave up and requested actual forms to fill out which was so much easier and faster. Unlike other urgent care facilities in the area, this one requires you to provide your credit card info when you arrive so that they can charge you asap after your insurance goes through. You never even get to see the bill before you’re charged. The doctors were nice enough but gave me incorrect info on how I’d receive my test results. I waited hours for a phone call that was apparently never coming. I definitely won’t be going back and will just go to the urgent care at Lawrence Memorial. At least there they give me a chance to review the bill before requesting payment.Update: After 6 weeks, I received a call with my test results. SIX WEEKS! Its totally unacceptable.

Warm and welcoming. Also the staff was very friendly. The waiting area was clean and they provided water and coffee if you would like to have some.The Dr. took time to listen to me as to how I was feeling. I am very please to have this urgent care in Stoneham as my go to if need be.

Very knowledgeable and caring doctor, that listened to my questions, and answered them, and prescribed the medicine to make me well again. Afterwards my selected pharmacy was closed and I could not pick up my prescription, hence I called the AFC Urgent Care Stoneham, and even though it was 20 minutes before their closing time, they were caring enough to call another pharmacy that was still open, so that I could receive my medicines, the same evening. Truly went above and beyond call of duty! Many kudos!

They were so amazing! Im not good with needles by any means and the medical assist who had to draw blood was so amazing and I barely felt so. So gentle and responsive to my needs! The doctor who helped me with my monkeypox issue was FABULOUS! KUDOS to AFC if I could give you guys 6 stars I would! A+ treatment and tender loving care! Hugs and love to you all!

I was very pleased with the level of care at AFC Stoneham. I think I lucked out in the waiting department. After 15 minutes I was brought into an examining room and saw a nurse practitioner a few minutes later. She was very professional and thorough. I had x-rays. Again the x-ray technician was very considerate and professional. Within 40 minutes I had a diagnosis and was on my way. I’ve been hesitant to use urgent care in the past.I would not hesitate to use AFC in the future. Great experience.

Had to be seen here on the Fourth of July and was pleasantly surprised how quick and efficient the visit was even on a holiday. I made an appointment and checked in online and was seen by a PA who was very nice and knowledgeable. All of the staff were kind and professional.

Ive gone to the Urgent care on 2 separate occasions. Both times Ive made appointments and waited over 2 hours past my scheduled appts to be seen. These were for diagnostic tests. unaccpetable. even in emergency situations.

Great experience. Brought my 7 year old in for a facial injury that needed a couple stitches. I had three rowdy little kids with me and the team there was so helpful, understanding and accommodating. My son was terrified for the procedure and JP the physician assistant was so amazing and comforting. Would definitely recommend.

Was told a had the common cold by a PA here and that my throat looked fine. However, I was in so much pain, so I sow a doctor. Turns out I had strep throat and needed antibiotics. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for the correct diagnosis.

2 hours for a strep test is ridiculous. They only ever have one provider (which isn’t even a doctor) working at a time. The provider can’t treat all the the patients in a reasonable time. No one else at the facility helps with any duties. It is very common to see nurses just sitting around doing nothing.

My experience at urgent care was swift and professional. Happy to have gone to this location. First time in the area and extremely pleased with care I received.

Convenient for scheduling an appointment, fast, the technician or the medical assistant was nice and she knows her job but Im so upset with the doctor on that day she didnt answer any question anything I ask her she is like contact your doctor! even when I ask her about simple over counter medication if I can take it to relief my covid symptoms! Im not gonna wait until my doctor answer my msg after weekend! Other than the provider on that day everything and everyone was nice and professional

I’ve consistently had a difficult time being heard by the providers here. If you have an infection that doesn’t show up on a strep test don’t bother coming in, just make an appointment with your primary care doctor and wait, it will ultimately save you time and money. Oh and once when I did manage to get a prescription for antibiotics that I desperately needed and actually had to beg for I was prescribed penicillin, which I’m allergic to, and which I had specifically mentioned on my intake. So yeah come here if you like wasting time with providers who will actively try to kill you I guess.

I ended up with walking pneumonia while on vacation. The day after Christmas is probably not the best time to go for urgent care so the wait was pretty long but once I got in the all the staff were really nice. I felt well cared for and they did a thorough job of diagnosing my illness.

This place is run efficiently. I ran in here with my 15 year old and was able to get care. I felt completely comfortable with the doctors diagnosis and action plan. They followed up in the morning which was really nice too.

Terrible! Booked an appointment online but walk-ins that came in after me were seen first as well as people that had appt times after mine were seen first. The dr/nurse practitioner were fast and quick with me and didn’t want to hear the issues going on. Worst experience ever!

AFC Stoneham did an excellent job taking care of me when I went in for an injury. They were friendly and caring from the time I went in until I left. The doctor was very thorough in checking on my injury and clearly providing results and answers. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing care! It was very clean too!

Easy to schedule an appointment online for non-urgent care of a 6 year old. They were on schedule, thorough and gave us the appropriate care. Will use their services again and would highly recommend for any non-urgent needs.

Medically the appointment was great. Attentive staff pre-appointment and a thorough check/exam from dr.Timing left a lot to be desired. For a scheduled appointment where all info was filled out in advance, 1hr from arrival to being seen seemed excessive. Why not have a virtual check-in or convey probable wait time at booking time online?

The staff provided a very welcoming and comfortable environment. My favorite part was the young man clad in a yellow disposable hazmat suit struggling to get through the door, one hand pulling the vitals machine into the room and the other simultaneously clutching a loose a** laptop to his chest with the screen open. He did a great job. Everyone was so nice!

The people at urgent Care stoneham were a very professional from the front desk to the doctor. I did not feel like I was being rushed out of there at all. The doctor went over everything with me and made sure I understood it. The people working the front desk were very courteous professional and just plain nice. It was a very good experience I would definitely use them again and tell family and friends about them.

Every time I have gone here they have been quick, efficient, and friendly. They take my problem seriously and make sure I am well taken care of, even making sure I schedule a follow up when needed.Today I was helped by Sumaiya who was quick, efficient, and explained what she was doing as she was doing it which I really appreciated. She also answered all of my questions and shared some fun facts with me. Im always nervous at the doctors and her demeanor put me at ease.

The clinic was clean and staff were very pleasant, accommodating and fast! One morning later, I am already on the mend! Sure beats the wait time just to get through to your primary cares office, only to long await a call back, then another long wait for necessary prescriptions. I was in, out and had necessary meds in a total of 45 mins of arriving to the clinic........without an appointment!

Celine made my experience at this urgent care smooth and less stressful. I’m someone who gets anxious easily, especially in medical settings, and I felt safe and at ease in her care! I definitely recommend seeing her if you can.
